Programs

Shelter Diversion Programs

Our programs include low cost spay and neuter services through an association with our surgical partners, Humane Society of Manatee County (HSMC) and ARC. We use grant funds to support this critical part of diverting animals from the county shelter. In 2018, we are able to offer free microchip services at both HSMS and ARC, through the generosity of a grant from Manatee Community Foundation, sponsored by the Bill and Maryann Vinall Fund. And in 2017 and 2018 we have been able to offer free spay and neuter surgeries for zip codes north of the Manatee River through an extraordinary grant from the Florida Animal Friends license plate program.

Just for Girls Education Program

In a wonderful collaboration with the Just For Girls alternative school classes, we regularly reach out to educate, encourage and enable young girls to be Student Animal Advocates. Through our educational classes, students learn about the importance of spaying and neutering and microchipping their pets and all receive vouchers for free vet services.

Kind News

Animal Network provides the Kind News Magazine, published by The Humane Society of the United States to Just For Girls, urging them to not only understand the proper way to care for animals, but to also practice and upgrade their reading skills.

Manatee County Animal Services Shelter Support

Of great interest to us is upgrading the services to stray and unwanted pets within our county shelter. As needed, we provide specialty products to the county shelter to ensure better services to the pets in residence there. We have provided heart worm treatment, medical equipment, and items used to upgrade the quality of life for the dogs and cats.

Angel Fund

Animal Network also provides limited funding to help local pet owners pay for general and emergency medical care that they might not otherwise be able to afford. The funds are provided through the Humane Society of Manatee County and might be used for emergency tests, surgical support, vaccines, or pet food bank access.

Yappy Hour

Animal Network Inc is proud to co-sponsor a Monthly “Yappy Hour” with Motorworks Brewing and Dawg Phonics K-9 Training. Each month a different rescue or animal interest group is featured to help them raise needed funds. Join us in the Motorworks’ Beer Garden the 3rd Sunday of every month (1-4pm) and enjoy the laid-back scene of furry fun where canine friends come together with their owners to mix and mingle through Yappy Hour.  There will be raffle items and silent auctions up for grabs with proceeds benefiting the featured rescue. You can enjoy drink specials and food from local food trucks (TBD) while shopping wares from local vendors.

*ALL dogs in attendance must be kept leashed, and must be up-to-date with all of their shots for the safety of all animals involved – thank you for your understanding!
