Animal Network’s efforts encompass two major programs—shelter diversion and community support.
Shelter Diversion Initiative
Our primary goal is to divert pets from entering our local county shelter. We organize, fund and participate in low cost/no cost clinics that offer spay and neuter and microchipping services. We also have a vibrant education program that encourages responsible pet ownership and offers vouchers for veterinarian services. Additionally, we offer services to owners who attempt to relinquish their pets to the shelter by offering services pinpointed to specific issues, such as training to curb behavioral breakdowns, food support, vet services, and pet supplies. When needed, we provide limited medical support for critically injured or ill pets, ensuring that owners do not have to choose between household needs and pet treatment.
Community Support
Animal Network is also proud to offer support to the community of rescues and shelters within Manatee County. The third Sunday of each month is dedicated to our Yappyhour, held at Motorworks Brewery in Bradenton. We create a festival atmosphere within which a guest rescue pursues fund raising through the raffle of prizes and baskets of local products along with a silent auction. Proceeds from this effort go to the guest organization, helping them continue their missions of rescuing and rehoming pets.
